Today’s recipe was inspired by this post… with a twist. I wanted to make my nests light and pretty, so I chose to use white chocolate, and added peanut butter for extra deliciousness. These nests have only three ingredients – perfectly simple for my little kitchen helpers to tackle with me.
Because I like to keep everyone happy, you can find metric, imperial and thermomix conversions below.
U.S./ imperial conversion:
7oz chow mein noodles
1 lb white chocolate
4 tbs peanut butter
Microwave chocolate and peanut butter for 30 seconds on high. If not melted, repeat in 5 second bursts, stirring in between. Mix well and stir in noodles. Line a muffin tray with patty pans and add spoonfuls of mixture, shaping out the centre to create a hollow. Place 3-4 Cadbury mini eggs into each nest, and set in fridge.
You can perfect the chocolate-melting process with ease if you have a Thermomix.
Thermomix conversion:
Grate chocolate in 200g batches for 6 seconds on speed 8. Place all chocolate in bowl.
Melt for 2-3 minutes at 50°C on speed 3.
Add peanut butter and mix in for 10 seconds on speed 3.
Add noodles and incorporate using spatula for 15 seconds, reverse, speed 1.
