We’re standing in the entry at the moment, where you will experience your first taste of my cushion obsession. I’ve recently made-over an old, dated mirror into this stunning beauty. In fact, my regular readers will notice several new updates and makeovers since you last set foot (virtually speaking) inside this house. I’ve been so busy DIY-ing of late that I’ve done very little blogging about it. Full tutorials and before-and-afters to come in the weeks ahead. (Don’t want to miss out? You can subscribe here to receive my posts by email!)
A keen eye may have already spied my brand-new DIY herringbone artwork. (You guessed it – tutorial coming up!)
On your left are my stencilled Ikea Billy bookcases.
Sorry, sorry. Here we are, looking back towards the kitchen…
Yes, I made my pantry door into a giant chalkboard! It’s so much fun to use it as a menu and tantalise people with dishes that may not actually ever be made.
Look at those lovely autumnal pears. (Have you forgotten it’s spring, yet? Good, good.)
Tucked up next to the kitchen is my compact home office/ family command centre. I love how it’s right in the middle of all the action! It’s been the best design decision we made with this house. So convenient, especially with little kids to keep an eye on. You can read about how I made-over this unused corner of the room right here!
Because this post was already so long, I stopped short at including my kids’ rooms. But – another big upcoming room reveal – my son’s bedroom is finally finished!! Woohoo! I’m so happy with how it turned out and can’t wait to share it with you. (If you’re new here and don’t want to miss the big reveal, take a second and subscribe if you haven’t already!) And of course, don’t forget to take some time to have a browse through all these gorgeous homes by some of the most talented bloggers around! It’s like a free magazine in your inbox. Ahhhhhh. Love it!
Ha, I knew you were in Australia, but had no idea that it was Spring!!! You have such a beautiful home! I just love your new gallery wall and the added leaves in the vases are just the right "Fall" touch. Thanks so much for welcoming us into your home!
I love your home. The bench at the front door is amazing. The play room is so happy. The paper on the back of your bookshelves is also so happy! Thanks for letting us come in and see your beautiful space!
This made me giggle, I didn't realize you were in Australia, Karen!! Happy Spring- my other favorite season! š Your home is absolutely gorgeous, and thank you so much for joining the tour!
P.S. Can I come visit?! I so badly want to travel to Australia, I've heard it's gorgeous!! š

Your home is so lovely, Karen! Every time I see pictures of updates, I fall more in love! Visiting from http://www.delineateyourdwelling.com
LOL, yes, we're very back-to-front down here! š Thanks so much, Katie!
Annina, absolutely! Come on over! š You need to visit Australia, it really is worth it! And I love visitors. š
Thank you, Amy! Right back atcha – your projects are always so beautiful, and perfectly photographed!
The house is looking beautiful Karen. Love the chevron art above the TV and your gallery wall is looking great, loving the mixture if art/items you've used. And finally, I adore those curtains. They just finish off the room perfectly. As always, I'm inspired to get cracking with my own work. Wishing I could order a new couch and get the lounge room finished at the moment.
What a bright, happy space! I love the wallpaper to the back of your bookshelves! Beautiful!

I love your SPRING home tour! I am so glad to have found your blog through participating in this home tour blog hop with you!
What part of Australia are you in? I spent some time in college studying at the University of Queensland and living in Brisbane, but I had a change to travel around AUS pretty extensively (and I am dying to bring my husband and boys to visit)!

Fiona, your lovely comments always brighten my day! Thanks so much for taking the time to be an encouragement to me! So glad you're feeling inspired. š
Thank you so much, Becki! Would you believe those bookshelves are actually stencilled? I love it when people mistake the pattern for wallpaper. Only at a distance – I'm sure there are messy bits if you look close enough in person. Photos can be forgiving. š Thanks for taking the time to comment! xo
Thank you so much, sweet April!! Yes, I think I like my daughter's dollhouse just about as much as she does. Maybe a little bit more. š
Thanks for those kind words, Jennifer! It's not always so clean and classy with three little kids running around wreaking havoc. š But I do try! It feels good to succeed occasionally. š xo
Oh Angela, that is so cool!! I live in Rockhampton, Queensland! Did you go there on your travels? Not that there's really much to see here unless you're passing through on your way north. We go to Brisbane heaps! It's weirdly exciting to meet an American blogger who actually knows the name of my state – hahaha! That NEVER happens! I feel like we totally have a connection now – you're speaking my language. LOL. So glad to meet you through this tour! š xo
