I’m popping in with a quick little happy post today. I don’t know about you, but I need a bit of a pick-me-up.
I’ve had what I suspect is the flu, which meant I couldn’t even get out of bed for the majority of last week (I was just too weak and got very dizzy and lightheaded when I wasn’t lying completely horizontal). This poses a bit of a problem when looking after a busy little toddler. I’m fortunate that my hubby and parents picked up the slack for me with the kids. Nearly two weeks after it started, I’m feeling a lot better, but the body aches still haven’t entirely gone away and I still tire way too easily.
Flu shot next year? I’ve always kind of laughed it off before, but that was no joke.
Anyhow, what better to give me a lift than drooling over some pretty office supplies. I know many of you are suckers for stationery items just like me! – and who else is crushing over everything rose gold right now? It’s just so pretty and feminine.

I love girly office spaces – they’re such a fun chance to do something pretty. Even if you wouldn’t necessarily splash pink and gold all over your living room, your office space can be all about you.
The easiest way to create a pulled-together office space is to choose a coordinated colour palette for your accessories.
Rose gold is a great base colour to use. Being a metallic, it goes with everything. But it also feels so special and feminine in its own right. Using rose gold will add a real dose of luxe glam to your office space.
I also love the look of clear lucite – it feels so sleek and understated. So where possible I’ve combined the two. Lucite and rose gold intray? Yes please!
Here’s how you can get the look.

1. Acrylic file holder / 2. Lamp / 3. File folders / 4. Letter board / 5. Letter tray / 6. Laptop stand
7. Scissors / 8. Magnets / 9. Pen cup / 10. Paperclips / 11. Pens / 12. Tape dispenser / 13. Stapler
As you can see, it’s possible to prettify all the basics of your work space. Why use rusty metal paperclips when they could be rose gold? Or boring utilitarian file folders when you could have beautiful ones?
The most functional items can also be beautiful. If you need a riser for your laptop to reduce neck strain, or a lamp for task lighting, you may as well choose something pretty. Even your planner can be beautiful… hint hint! ? Add a few co-ordinating accessories and a fun letter board so you can write yourself inspiring messages, and your workspace will be complete.
With all the gorgeous office accessories out there these days, there’s no need to put up with an office space that’s drab and uninspiring. It doesn’t take much to transform it into a place you’ll actually want to spend time in.
Okay, so we can’t always make work fun and interesting, but at least you’ll have something pretty to look at while you slog through it. And that’s not nothing. ?
Wishing you a house full of sunshine, friends!
