Well helloooooo Hamptons House reveal!! If you’ve been following along with my parents’ beach house build, you will know I’ve been teasing you with this for the longest time. TODAY IS THE DAY. All will be revealed.
Well, not quite all. I had ten thousand photos and couldn’t fit them all into one post, so today I am going to be revealing…. THE KITCHEN! With the dining room, living room and deck to follow very shortly in subsequent posts!
I can already see that I’m going to be using an obnoxious amount of all caps and exclamation points in this post. Because guys… it is just SO BEAUTIFUL.
You may remember the kitchen mood board I shared when the house was being built. That seems like forever ago now! It’s kind of fun to see what stayed the same and what evolved.
Here she is… the modern Hamptons kitchen.
Gah. SO GOOD. I would like to throw a party and invite you all around so you can see it for yourselves. See, I’m already busy getting some food ready for you. Hope you like pineapple!
Look, I’m just gonna show you aaaall five thousand photos, ‘kay?
I mean, that marble herringbone splashback. How pretty is it?!
Oh hey, don’t mind me. I’m just still over here chopping up that pineapple.
The raked and panelled ceilings are a real showstopper. They add so much drama and airiness to the entire living space.
Let’s talk details. We did a Shaker profile on the cabinets and drawers. To keep it from looking too busy, we took the profile around the perimeter instead of each individual drawer front.
The hardware is a combination of black knobs for the upper cabinets, black cup pulls for the drawers, and long black handles for the cupboards. It totally works because we kept everything black.
We also used a black granite sink and matching tapware to bring in a modern edge to the kitchen.
… Also, everybody needs a gold pineapple soap dish. Just sayin’.
This is real coral from a local licensed coral diver! So beautiful… there is nothing like it.
The stools were the biggest holdup because they were out of stock and spent a couple of months on backorder. So worth the wait though! I absolutely love the lattice pattern of the bamboo!
Here’s a tiny sneak peek of the dining room… coming atcha next!

So what do you think?…. are you as much in love with this kitchen as me? How much time can one really spend chopping up a pineapple? So many questions. Give me a heart emoji and let me know all the hard work was worthwhile.
WOW!! That was definitely worthwhile! The details sure do make it – I love the tile and the lightshades. It looks so relaxing, not something you might always associate with a kitchen, but so important for one near the beach. Well done to you all!
Thank you so much Sherylee!! What a sweet comment! xo
Love love love the kitchen- so definitely my kind of look- dream dream – lol
Now I’m going back to look at the rest of your posts so I can dream in technicolor and 3D.
Oh I’m so glad you love it! It’s my dream kitchen too – pity it’s not mine, ha! Thanks for the sweet words Lyndel xo
