Hello friends! If you’re after more decorating eye candy of the Hamptons-style variety, YOU HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE. It’s the day of our Hamptons dining room reveal!
I couple of weeks back I shared the living and dining room mood board for this space. If you’re curious to see the design plan before seeing exactly how it came to life, go take a sticky beak, we’ll wait. I always find it SO fascinating to compare the mood board with the finished product!
Okay, you’re back? Great! Come on in, don’t be shy. Make yourself at home. The dining room is right this way….
There’s enough seats for everyone. Gather round! How beautiful is this parquetry-topped dining table?
A few large glass vessels bring in that coastal vibe. Did we mention the beach is just over the road?
Maybe we’ll take a walk down there and dip our toes in the sand after you’ve had a look around.
An x-leg console table gives extra storage in the dining area. I love the open console style for a beach house – just perfect for adding some oversized baskets. And every beach house needs plenty of baskets!
How lovely are the deep indigo tones in this painting?
We used lots of white for that fresh and airy beach-house vibe, but too much white can feel sterile, so we also brought in heaps of greenery and natural woven materials.
On the other side of the dining table is a gorgeous antique church pew from a church my Dad used to pastor before he retired.
I love the warmth and character it brings into the space. It says so much about Mum and Dad’s history.
One can never have too many cushions. That’s my motto.
I’m loving the cool, rich indigo tones of the painting and cushions against the warmer timber of the pew.
All that cushion fluffing and artwork hanging took it out of me. Might sit down for a while…
Here you can see the connection between this area and the kitchen which I revealed in my last post!
I just love how this room came together. Want sources? Here ya go.

Do you have a favourite room so far? What feature are you most drawn to in this dining room?
I’m torn… I am so in love with that parquetry table. But I really think my favourite might be the vintage church pew vignette paired with those indigo cushions and abstract ocean art!
It’s lovely, Karen! Your parents must be so pleased! I love how perfectly the pew sits in between rooms. Such a special feature. Also loving those breakfast bench seats ??
Thank you so much Vanessa!! ? I agree, the pew is such a stunner and so are those bar stools! xo
The pew is spectacular and you can’t beat some history, especially a family connection! But I love the console and all its decorations too – the print is gorgeous and the glass vessels are just perfect with the greenery. This is such a happy looking room.
Thank you so much for those sweet words, Sherylee! I’m so glad you like it! It really does have such a peaceful and happy feeling. 🙂
I have been drooling over that black sink … it is so angular, but it somehow looks soft at the same time. Gorgeous rooms, they all flow together and welcome you in, and make you WANT to do the dishes. If that’s not great design, I don’t know what is!! 🙂
Oh what a sweet comment!! Ha, I love that! It really is a stunning sink! ?
