Welcome back to the Hamptons House! Today we’ll be touring our final space (for now), the living room… PLUS we have an incredible VIDEO REVEAL for your viewing pleasure!!
In this video I’ll take you on a walk through the entire Hamptons House open plan living area – the kitchen, dining, deck, and today’s living room – so you can see how everything fits and flows together.
If you’re a design nerd like me, take a quick look first at our kitchen mood board and our living/dining mood board – then watch it all come to life in this video. I always find it so much fun to see how design plans play out in real life.
Ready? Come on in with me!
And of course, no reveal would be complete without LOTS and LOTS of photos!
This is really the sort of living room that feels like you’re on holidays all the time.
We wanted this room to feel relaxed and un-fussy, with a breezy beach-house atmosphere, and I think we nailed that vibe.
The couch is incredibly squishy and soft and enveloping – you just want to sink in and stay there.
There’s something about timber floors and jute rugs that make you feel like it would be okay to come inside with sand from the beach still between your toes.
The grey-washed wicker trunk is my favourite. It looks like it was unloaded straight off an old-school fishing boat.
All the muted duck-egg blue linens, pale grey walls and white panelling really sing together.

Thanks for taking the tour with me, friends! I’d love to hear what you think in the comments.
I have some fun Christmas projects coming up to share with you. I absolutely love this time of year!
How about you? Are you all “bring on the Christmas crafting and decorations” or more like “why on earth are we talking about Christmas already when it’s only November?!” Ha!
Until next time, wishing you a house full of sunshine.
Beautiful Karen!! Congrats, the house looks amazing. I loved the color scheme and the wood and jute details.
Thanks so much Chris! I really appreciate that! xo
This is absolutely beautiful. I’m sure they are thrilled with the end results
Thank you so much Donna!! I really appreciate your kind words! They really do love it xo
Love this so much. The house has a real holiday vibe to it now.
Really enjoyed watching the video too!
Thank you Katie!! ? I love this house so much I may have to move in! Not sure what Mum and Dad would think about that though… ?
What a beautiful space! Your parents are very lucky!!! Great video and pics, great eye candy.
I just noticed that I’m not seeing any new posts from my reader (where I read most of my blog posts from). I only see the posts that you’ve sent emails about. I’m not sure if others are having this same lack of visibility?? I’m not sure what I can do to update my reader to see all your posts.
Thank you so much for the heads up, Tonia! Which feed reader do you use? It probably has to do with me changing from http to https (for site security reasons) – sometimes that can mess with feeds. If you let me know which reader is affected I can look into this for you. ? And thank you so much for the kind words about the video! xo
I use the old reader. I deleted the old subscription, and added a new one. It looks like that’s worked! Now I’ll be able to go back and see previous posts 🙂
Oh, that’s great! Glad it was easy to fix! xo
